Gwinnett GOP Convention Cycle

Republican Party to Hold Precinct Caucus and County Convention On February, 22, 2020, at 10:00A.M., the Gwinnett County Republican Party will convene Precinct Caucuses to elect Delegates and Alternate Delegates to the Gwinnett County Republican Party Convention at Dacula High School, 123 Broad Street, Dacula, Georgia. Registration will open at 9:00 a.m.

All Gwinnett County residents who are legally registered to vote on or before the date of the Precinct Caucus, and who believe in the principles of the Republican Party and support its aim and purpose, are urged to participate in the process.

The Gwinnett County Republican Party Convention will convene at 10:00A.M. on March 21, 2020, at Norcross High School, 5300 Spalding Drive, Norcross, Georgia for the purpose of electing Delegates and Alternate Delegates to the Fourth, Seventh and Tenth Congressional District Conventions; electing Delegates and Alternate Delegates to the Georgia Republican Party State Convention; and, conducting all other business as necessary. Delegates, Alternate Delegates and any guests in attendance will be required to pay a fee to cover the cost of the County Convention.

 

The Fourth, Seventh and Tenth Congressional District Conventions will convene on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at 10:00A.M. The District Conventions will be electing three Delegates and three Alternate Delegates to the Republican National Convention to be held in Charlotte, North Carolina the week of August 24, 2020.

Delegates, Alternate Delegates and any guests in attendance will be required to pay a fee to cover the cost of the respective Conventions.

The Georgia Republican Party State Convention will convene at 2:00P.M. on Friday, May 28, 2020, at the Cobb Galleria Centre, Two Galleria Parkway, Atlanta, Georgia for the purpose of electing the Georgia Republican Party National Committeeman and Committeewoman; electing the At-Large Delegates and Alternate Delegates to the Republican National Convention; and, conducting all other business as necessary. Delegates, Alternate Delegates and any guests in attendance will be required to pay a fee to cover the cost of the Convention.

Pursuant to the official Call of the Georgia Republican Party, all individuals desiring to be a Delegate or Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention are reminded that, in order to be eligible for consideration by the District or State Nominating Committee(s), they shall complete on or before April 3, 2020, the Georgia Republican Party online application (as published on www.GAGOP.org) and provide all requested supporting material associated with said application.

All such individuals are also required to meet with the respective Nominating Committee(s) as a prerequisite to having such individual’s name placed in nomination at such convention(s).
