Lerah Lee

GA07 Candidate (Republican)

Website Bio

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Lerah Lee resides in Duluth, Georgia and is married with five children. She attended Ashley Hall School where one of her earliest role models was the Late Barbara Bush an alumna of Ashley Hall. From a young age she was mentored by her grandmother and watched as she taught adults how to read and do volunteer work in a local prison.

Lerah attended Claflin University where she majored in Elementary Education.  After receiving her Master’s in Elementary Administration from Charleston Southern University, Lerah went on to become an assistant principal, then principal, and director in the Charleston County School District. In 2010, she received her Ph.D. from Capella University. As Executive Director of Early Childhood Education, she worked with the community, elected officials, and business groups to create Early Learning Centers as well as alternative funding sources while managing a budget of approximately $45 million annually.  Under her leadership, a new curriculum was implemented to ensure success for children of all economic backgrounds.

Her leadership experience and passion for people makes her the perfect candidate to find a bi-partisan solution for our healthcare crisis regardless of pre-existing conditions. The time is NOW to stop kicking the can down the road and address a viable, sustainable healthcare plan for District Seven and America. Lerah Lee will work to make certain it gets done.

Lerah is running because she believes she is the only candidate who will represent the needs of ALL people in the Seventh District by securing: a viable healthcare system regardless of pre-existing conditions; smaller government; support for small business, religious freedoms for all, high quality education, a secure border and legal immigration, and the traditional values upon which this nation was founded.

Under her leadership, a new curriculum was implemented to ensure success for children of all economic backgrounds.
In the fall of 2018, Lerah was accepted into the D. James Kennedy Christian Statesman program where she was trained to run for political office and work in the public policy arena.  ( In March of 2019, Lerah accepted her call to run and is looking forward to working with and for the residents of District 7  on the campaign trail and if elected.
